AJ's first Christmas

AJ in his "My 1st Christmas" outfit. We had a little "aware" time this morning before we got fussy.

And MORE relatives

And with Aunt Christine. We were so happy she could stop in before leaving for Spain in a few weeks.

What's this swing thing all about?

We were finally able to spend a little "alert" time in our swing today. We sat up in it for about 15 minutes, not bad for our second time in it.

On our Boppy mat

AJ wasted no time in learning to suck his thumb.

Cuddling with Mommy

AJ sure loves his afternoon naps. We were in the process of putting our hand in our mouth when we just ran out of steam!

Dad is so proud of his little boy. Posted by Picasa
Cuddling with Mommy. The nice part about this is lunch is right there when we wake up. Posted by Picasa
He's a great sleeper. Mommy and Daddy love it when he sleeps so we can get some sleep too. His naps are gradually getting longer (2-2.5 hours now, but he's had the occasional 5-hour nap). Posted by Picasa
First time in our swing. We were a little tired, so we didn't stay in for too long. We saw the doctor for the first time yesterday. We're a little jaundiced still, and the doctor was just concerned enough to draw a little blood and test the billirubin level. She said it isn't increasing, so that's good. He's very healthy, and was such a good baby for the doctor. He saved the fussing and crying for mom and dad on the way home. Posted by Picasa

Quick update

We pooped. :) Mommy and Daddy were so proud of him. We were concerned because it had been over 24 hours, but apparently AJ likes the drama. Special thanks to Aunt Lisa, who was on speaker phone with Mommy when he did it. Lisa, you bring out the best in all of us!
AJ in his cute little duckie outfit. Mom is doing great, and AJ is doing ok. He's a little jaundiced, and hasn't had a messy diaper yet today (our goal is two). We're seeing his doctor tomorrow, so we'll ask about those things. He's also a day sleeper, so Mom and Dad are adjusting to life as a pair of owls. Thanks everyone for your phone calls and emails. Posted by Picasa
That's my boy. This is a rare shot of him sleeping for daddy. Usually, he's screaming his head off. :) Posted by Picasa
AJ's little festive cap. It was knitted by volunteers, and the hospital let us keep it, which is a good thing since it's the easiest cap to get on his little head. Posted by Picasa
Professionally Swaddled. Mom and Dad are getting better, but it will be a while before we can do as well as the nurses. Posted by Picasa

Big day!

I'd like to welcome my cousins Mikey (born yesterday) and Sydney (born today, like me). All moms and babies are in good health. Can't wait to meet you guys.

Don't forget to write!

Love, AJ

Here's me getting checked out about 3-4 minutes after being born. It's cold out here! Posted by Picasa
